Therefore never say:  \"It was a good life and many die much younger.\" \"There is a reason for everything.\"  \"You can have another child if you want.\" 'I know how you feel.'  \"You're in front and you have to get through.\" \"If was for the best.\u2019\u2019Do say:  \"I wish I knew what to say, but know that I empathize with you.\" \"I can't imagine what you're going through right now, but if there's anything I can do for you, say it.\" \u2018'My sincere condolences.'  \"I'm here for you if you want to talk.\" Don't ask someone to deny or change their feelings. Acknowledge the loss. Don't try to rationalize or explain. Don't minimize. Don't set a time limit on grief. Be available.
