Expressing in speech or writing our appreciation is an act that many people have trouble performing. Still, it is a formidable tool to tighten and strengthen and just get things done. One of the most neglected, but most impressive ways to give thanks is: the handwritten note. The problem often starts with people not knowing what to thank someone for. There are many very good reasons. You can thank someone for time and attention, a compliment, information, patronage, a referral, a gift, help, and so on. It is useful to always have a few cards, envelopes and stamps with you. When you have nothing to do, you can put a few words to paper. It hardly takes any time or effort and the result is spectacular. You know how a handwritten card in your pile of mail, stands out. How you read it first, remember it best and how you appreciate it. There are three main types of valuation. Visible ones: letters, cards, e-mails, flowers. Audible ones: telephone or personal thanks, messages on voicemail, speeches, compliments.
