How can you improvise?

For every Academy Award that is granted, there are five candidates. Five people who have prepared a speech and only one who is allowed to read it. Act like an Academy Award nominee and prepare a few lines. Know that you can be asked to say something at every party, anniversary or birthday. Be prepared for it. Would you like to say something? The question has been asked. What do you? You say yes and then: you stall. Tell that you need to go to the toilet first. Go there. Organize your thoughts. Prepare something. Always keep a quote at hand. Think of a nice punch line and work towards it. Pick up on what has been said before. Select a number of attendees and tell something nice about them. The parents, the children, the groom. Describe the evening, the occasion, the reception, the gifts. Tell an anecdote. Keep it short. Make them smile of cry. Stop.
