1. Delegate responsibility.
It is important not only to hand over the task, but especially the responsibility. Leave room for the other’s own interpretation and initiative. Do not explain your request step by step, but describe the result you want to achieve.
2. Delegate challenges.
When formulating the assignments, try not only to hand over a job, ask for a better and creative solution to your problem. Turn the assignment into a challenge. Do not communicate the assignment, but the desired end result.
3. Delegate privately
Your life contains many tasks that you do not necessarily have to be performed by yourself. Groceries, the post office, DIY, the garden. They are things that can easily be done by someone else without too high a cost. With students as well as retirees you will find people who happily wander through the supermarket for a small fee or simply take things from A to B. Young people also often enjoy driving a car and acting as a driver.
“The pessimist sees the problem in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every problem. " - Winston Churchill, statesman and Nobel laureate.
