
Start the night before. Make sure you sleep well. Don't eat too late or too much. Do not eat sharp herbs. Do not drink alcohol or coffee. Do drink warm milk. Don't do any major physical exertion late at night. Never do any increased physical effort after your 40th birthday. It’s not attractive. Build in a routine at bedtime. Always do the same before going to sleep. Preferably go to sleep at the same time every day and get up at the same time in the morning. Make sure the temperature in your bedroom fluctuates between 16 and 18 degrees centigrade. Make it dark and quiet. Clean up all the mess. Sleep well and wake up rested.
