There is only one thing that remains the same: the fact that everything changes. Know that. Foresee that. Use that. And take advantage of it. Expect change. People, environment, technology, the climate, the economy. Others can never be 100 percent predictable or controllable. Expect the unexpected, even better: embrace it. Foresee change. Provide time and the opportunity to accommodate change. Provide fallback options and alternatives. Have a plan B ready and make sure you can give your communication or presentation without any technical support whatsoever. See through change. Watch out for small, minimal changes that can have major consequences. If you throw a frog into boiling water, it will immediately pop out screaming. If you put it in water that you heat up very slowly, it will sit until it is cooked. Follow change. Go with the moment and the circumstances. Try to preserve your individuality and the essence of your message. Cause change. See how it can be done better and differently and do it. Don't let a plan or script get in the way of a brilliant idea. As John Lennon put it, life is what happens to you while you are making plans. Enjoy change. Change is not there to be afraid of. It's like a rain shower or Christmas. It's coming. Celebrate it. Make sure to keep the core and yourself and make the rest as convenient as possible.
