
In the sweltering London summer of 1886, William Gladstone entered the competes with Benjamin Disraeli for the position of prime minister of the United Kingdom. This was the Victorian era so who did the election won, immediately ruled half of the globe. In the latter week before the poll, both men had an appointment with Queen Victoria herself. Victoria said afterwards, ‘'Had dinner with Mr Gladstone, got the impression that I had dinner with the smartest man in the country. After appointment with Mr. Disraeli I thought I was the smartest person the country. ‘' I'll let you guess who won the election. It was the man who managed to make the other feel interesting and fascinating: Benjamin Disraeli. Conscious or unconscious, but charismatic people behave in such a way that others get a charismatic feeling.
