One to one, person to person, sit down and talk, but that cannot always take place. That is why the second best means of communication is: the telephone conversation. You can almost always choose that option. How do you do it? Answer with your full name. Many people know a Joe and Donald. When calling yourself, state your full name and ask if it is a good time. Is your call convenient? Provide a time frame. Ask if you can speak to someone for two minutes and stick to that. Don't speak ridiculously loud on the phone. That happens soon enough. Separate yourself, and have your conversation where you don't bother anyone. Turn off or mute your phone in company. If your phone rings while you are talking to someone, keep looking at the person and push the conversation away with one hand. Call back as soon as possible.
